Livingston, NJ – As part of Livingston High School’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter, Marc Demetriou along with many other local successful business leaders were asked to participate in the school’s celebration of American Enterprise Day by speaking at the school on Tuesday, November 15, 2016. Marc spoke to about 125 FBLA members and student about becoming successful by pursuing his entrepreneurial spirit in his career spanning more than 25 years, the last 11 of which have been running his own branch of Residential Home Funding in Bloomingdale, NJ.
“This was a great event, I enjoyed speaking and feel honored to be part of the day,” Marc said.
About American Enterprise Day
President Jimmy Carter made a Presidential Proclamation on August 8, 1980 directing that American Enterprise Day be observed on November 15. The Chevron Corporation provided a grant to fund a program called “Getting Involved” in the 1980s to expose young people to capitalism through Future Business Leaders of America.
About FBLA
Future Business Leaders of America is a non-profit association that helps prepare students for careers in business. Young people from middle school up to the post-secondary level are able to join this organization, which now has thousands of members and advisers recognizing the special day with assemblies, festivals and projects like this one.
